The Portsmouth Design Review Board consists of individuals from the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, community planning, building and construction, and business owners. By using their specific knowledge, board members help develop creative solutions for land development that will maintain and enhance the character of the community.
The Design Review Board guides the process of development so that Portsmouth's residents will feel the special power of this place. Architectural additions and compatible land use practices can be positive and welcome in communities when they respect the tradition and character of the place. Portsmouth is committed to protecting its "quality of life."
