Greetings from Portsmouth Parks and Recreation! 

The Portsmouth Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to promoting and supporting the health and well-being of all citizens by providing quality recreation and leisure programs. Our mission is to offer recreational experiences which integrate spirit, mind, and body, develop a sense of community and belonging, and enhance the overall quality of life in Portsmouth.

Community Market and Yard sale. 

Discover treasures and unique creations!

Sunday, May 17, 9am -1pm. Glen Park, Gilbert Barker Road Rain or shine

 What you will find:  Yard sale items and secondhand treasures, artisan goods and crafts, and friendly community spirit!

Seeking vendors and yard sellers. Pavilion tables - $35, Provide your own - $25. 

Pop- up tents are not provided... you may bring your own.

Craftastic Kids Pop- up Workshop - Mother's Day Gift Edition- Bring the beauty of the coast to life with a beautiful, sea-inspired sea glass tree designed using natural craft rope, starfish, and real delicate shells. A thoughtful and unique gift for Mom on Mother's Day. Sunday, May 3rd,  1:00-3:30pm. At the Leonard Brown House. 121 Linden Lane Ages 8-14 . $20 Space is Limited. 

July 3rd at Sandy Point Beach~ Moment's Notice will play our favorite 80's & 90's hits from 6-8pm. Bring dinner and a chair and dance the night away. 

Mahjong in April 

Open Play Mahjong is offered every Wednesday & Thursday at 1pm. Please bring your 2026 card. 2025 card, tiles provided. Fee: $3

Beginner and Advanced Beginner Lessons available on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Robot Camp, Rocket Camp, Kid Empowerment, Mahjong, 250th USA Celebration,

CivicRec offers residents easier access to Parks & Recreation activities and registration for town-run classes and camps. Making reservations for fields or events at the Gardner Seveney Sports Complex, beautiful Glen Park, or renting space at the Leonard Brown House is just a few clicks away!
