PORTSMOUTH VOTERS

The Portsmouth Canvassing Authority will hold a hybrid Zoom public meeting on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, at the Portsmouth Town Hall Council Chambers, for the Final Canvass and Correction of the Preliminary Voter List for the Town of Portsmouth for the Rhode Island US Congressional District 1 Special Election to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.  The list of eligible Portsmouth voters will be posted at the Town Hall Canvassing Authority office beginning Friday, October 13, 2023. 

Voters may check their status by contacting the Canvassing office (phone: 401-683-3157 or email: portsmouth_canvassing@portsmouthri.com) or online at the RI Department of State’s Voter Information Center at https://vote.sos.ri.gov . 

The Board will hear all objections to the inclusion or omission of any person as a registered voter in accordance with Chapter 17-10-5, General Laws of the State of Rhode Island, as amended. 

The public is welcome to any meeting of the Town’s boards or its committees. If communication assistance (readers/interpreters/captions) is needed or any other accommodation to ensure equal participation, please contact the Canvassing office at 683-3157 at least (3) business days prior to the meeting.
